live and buy here are looking to safer alternatives.

Samui real estate and condo developers realise there are major advantages to a
condominium compared
to a Villa, apartment or house with rising land prices comparable to Phuket. Firstly foreigners can legally own a condo in
their own name by proving funds to purchase the unit have originally been remitted from
overseas. Another advantage of buying a condominium is that it
is generally managed by either a hotel management company or manager.
Some developers are selling
condo units in a Resort Hotel setting catering for a new type of

effective way to use land, especially in places like Samui where

designs will soon appear to challenge the limits of the 12 meter
rule and still maintain that Island feel and charm.

condo property market. According to some industry experts, in the future Koh Samui will see
more large, professional developers from Bangkok taking on
medium-sized, low-rise developments. These developers will
come in with the initial financial means to build and develop the
projects.
